I am not certain where I got this recipe. We have had it for years and it is very tasty. Again since my family has food allergies we cook a lot from scratch and this is one that we can make for our family. YUM!

Ingredients For red beans and rice

3 slicebacon

1 lbpolish sausage sliced

2 cankidney beans, canned (15 oz)

1 cchopped celery

1 smdiced green pepper

2 Tbspparsley flakes

2 Tbspketchup

2 tspworcestershire sauce

8 oztomato paste
-
1 tspchili powder
-
1 tspgarlic powder

1/2 tspsalt

1/2 tsppepper

1 crice
How To Make red beans and rice

1Fry bacon and dice after fried. In bacon drippings saute vegetables. After vegetables are wilted add sausage, beans, parsley, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, chili powder, garlic, salt and pepper and cook until sausage is hot.

2In separate pan cook one cup rice to package directions.

3Mix rice and beans.
