Macaroni and cheese with bacon is one of my husband's favorite dishes. Here is my favorite rendition of it. This is perfect if you’re looking for a simple Mac and cheese recipe. Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients For porky's mac & cheese

1/2 lb bacon; diced

1/2 lb elbow macaroni

2 cup milk
-
1/4 cup butter
-
2 tbsp flour
-
1/2 lb sharp white cheddar cheese; shredded

3/4 lb monteray jack cheese; shredded
- TOPPING
-
1 cup bread crumbs
-
1/4 cup butter
How To Make porky's mac & cheese

1Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees. Grease the bottom of a medium casserole dish. In a large skillet,fry bacon until crisp.

2Cook noodles according to package directions. While noodles are cooking, in a saucepan over medium heat melt the butter. Mix in the flour, onion salt, and pepper until smooth. Slowly whisk in the milk. Add cheese until the sauce becomes thick.

3Drain noodles, stir them into the cheese sauce in a bowl. Add bacon. Pour the mixture into the casserole dish. Combine bread crumbs and melted butter in a bowl. Sprinkle the bread crumbs mixture over the noodles in the casserole dish.

4Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
