Ingredients For pork neck slow cooker stew

  • 4 lb
    pork necks
  • 1/2 lb
    boiling onions
  • 1/2 lb
    baby carrots
  • 1 lb
    red potatoes, small
  • 1-1/2 c
    chicken broth (best to use low sodium, low or no fat for your health but any kind will due)
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • herbs and seasonings to taste
  • 6 c
    cooked rice

How To Make pork neck slow cooker stew

    Peel onions, slice potatoes thick, and rinse all veggies. Set aside.

    Lightly brown meaty side of pork neck and place in crock pot. Cover with Veggies. Sprinkle on salt, pepper and other seasonings as desired (suite your taste).

    Pour broth over. Cook on low for 5.5 hours. Add 1/2 cup each frozen corn and peas. Continue to cook for 1/2 -1 hour.

    After done cooking, Remove all meat, and veggies and set aside. Remove bones and toss. In saucepan Bring to boil broth/drippings. While heating combine 3 tablespoons flour and 1/4 cup milk/half and half or cream until lumps are gone. Once broth/drippings just begin to boil, add flour/milk mixture and stir continuously until thickened. Pour over meat and veggies and Serve over cooked rice.
