This recipe is easy to make for the family and nice enough to serve for company. It not only tastes divine, it serves as a nice presentation. Just make a salad or your favorite vegetable dish, some dinner rolls, and you're all set to go!

Ingredients For pork chops o'brien

  • 1 Tbsp
    oil
  • 6
    pork chops, browned in oil
  • 1 can
    cream of celery soup
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1
    bag, (24 oz.) frozen o'brien potatoes, thawed
  • 1 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
  • 1 can
    french fried onions, divided

How To Make pork chops o'brien

    Sprinkle pork chops with seasoned salt and brown in a skillet with the oil. Once brown remove to a plate and keep warm.

    In a large bowl, combine soup, milk, sour cream, pepper and 1/2 salt. Stir in thawed potatoes, 1/2 cup cheese and 1/2 cup fried onions. Spoon into a greased 13"x9" dish and place pork chops on top. Bake covered (use foil if no lid for dish) at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

    During the last 5 minutes of baking; remove the cover and top with remaining cheese and fried onions. Cook until cheese melts and onions are golden brown.

    NOTE: If you'd like, you can use hash browns in place of the O'Brien potatoes.
