This was one of my Grandmother Phillips recipes. It's a one dish meal and very good.

Ingredients For pork chops and rice

4thick loin pork chops
-
1/4 cuncooked white or brown rice

4 slicethick cut bermuda onion

4 slicetomatoe thickly sliced

4 slicegreen peppers without seeds and thickly sliced

2 1/2 cbeef bouillon
-
1/4 tspthyme
-
1/2 tspmarjoram
-
salt and pepper to taste
How To Make pork chops and rice

1Saute chops on both sides. Place chops in a low buttered casserole and place 1 tablespoon of dry rice on each chop.

2Place one slice of onion, one slice of green pepper, one slice of tomato on top of each chop.

3Pour bouillon over all and sprinkle with the herbs, salt and pepper. Cover and place in a 350 degrees oven and cook for about 50 minutes.
