This was one of my Grandmother Phillips recipes. It's a one dish meal and very good.

Ingredients For pork chops and rice

  • 4
    thick loin pork chops
  • 1/4 c
    uncooked white or brown rice
  • 4 slice
    thick cut bermuda onion
  • 4 slice
    tomatoe thickly sliced
  • 4 slice
    green peppers without seeds and thickly sliced
  • 2 1/2 c
    beef bouillon
  • 1/4 tsp
    thyme
  • 1/2 tsp
    marjoram
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make pork chops and rice

    Saute chops on both sides. Place chops in a low buttered casserole and place 1 tablespoon of dry rice on each chop.

    Place one slice of onion, one slice of green pepper, one slice of tomato on top of each chop.

    Pour bouillon over all and sprinkle with the herbs, salt and pepper. Cover and place in a 350 degrees oven and cook for about 50 minutes.
