I love one dish recipes and this was one I found a few years ago in a magazine. I have added a few ingredients to tweak it & it was love at first bite. I am not a fan of pork chops but these turn out so moist, they are divine! Hope u enjoy it as much as I do.

Ingredients For pork chop ole

  • 6 md
    pork loin chops (or what ever piece of pork u like)
  • 2 Tbsp
    oil
  • 1 pinch
    salt
  • 1 pinch
    pepper
  • 1 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 can
    tomato sauce (8oz)
  • 3/4 c
    long grain rice, uncooked
  • 2 Tbsp
    taco seasoning mix
  • 1 md
    green pepper, chopped
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded or taco cheese

How To Make pork chop ole

    In 13x9 casserole pan, combine water, 1 tsp oil, tomato sauce, rice, green pepper, onion & taco seasoning. Stir gently to mix seasoning in.

    In large Skillet, brown pork chops in oil. Sprinkle with salt & pepper.

    Arrange chops over rice mix. Cover with lid or tin foil & bake at 350 for 1 hour or until rice & meat are tender. Uncover & sprinkle with cheese.
