Ingredients For pork casserole

  • 1 can
    (16 oz.) peas
  • 1 can
    (16 oz.) whole kernel corn
  • 1 Tbsp
    shortening
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 c
    diced celery
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 4 c
    cubed or ground pork
  • 1 pkg
    (6 oz) med. noodles
  • 1 can
    crm. of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    thyme
  • 1/2 c
    grated american or cheddar cheese

How To Make pork casserole

  • 1
    Drain peas and corn, reserving liquid. Brown pork in shortening. Add onions. celery, salt, water and reserved liquid.

    Simmer until meat is done.
  • 3
    Cook and drain noodles.
  • 4
    Add soup, pepper, thyme, peas, corn and cheese.
  • 5
    Combine noodle and pork mixtures. Pour into lightly greased casserole. Top with Durkees onion rings.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or till bubbly.
