After removing from the oven I like to shred the meat and mix it with homemade beans and Spanish rice to make a burrito filling but would also make a good taco filling on it's own This recipe is off the Farmland Carnitas meat pkg.

Ingredients For pork carnitas

2 tspground black pepper

2 tspgarlic powder

2 tsponion powder

1 1/2 tspsalt

1/2 tspground mexican oregano

1/2 tspdried cilantro leaves

1/4 tspcumin

3 lbpork picnic shoulder meat
How To Make pork carnitas

1Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine all seasonings in small bowl; mix well.

2Place meat in 13x9 baking dish and sprinkle meat with seasoning mix on and coat thoroughly

3Cover pan tightly with foil. Bake for 1 1/2 -2 hrs or until very tender. Remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 min until meat is crisp on outside. Shred or slice meat to your liking
