Ingredients For porcupine meatballs

  • 1 c
    cooked rice, or use quick cooking rice to shorten cooking time
  • 1 - 2 lb
    lean hamburger
  • 1 md
    onion/chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 3 Tbsp
    chopped green pepper - optional
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • SAUCE
  • 1 - 8 oz
    can of tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar

How To Make porcupine meatballs

    Mix all items well, and form into meatballs.

    Put into an oven proof casserole dish. Pour an 8 oz. can Tomato Sauce mixed with 2 tblsp. worchestershire sauce and 2 tblsp. brown sugar.

    Bake @ 350 degrees for 1.5 hrs. I have cooked these meatballs in my pressure cooker with 1.5 cups of water in bottom of cooker. Put them on the rack insert, cook for 20 minutes, and let pressure drop. OR microwave/covered for 20 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes.
