These are easy to make and so good. I doubled this recipe then cut each taco in half and served them at a pot luck and they were gone instantly.

Ingredients For pizza tacos

  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 4 oz
    mushrooms chopped
  • 2 sm
    shallots minced
  • 2 clove
    garlic minced
  • 4 oz
    sweet italian sausage casings removed
  • 4 slice
    bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 2 oz
    sliced pepperoni halved
  • 1/2 tsp
    oregano
  • 1 1/2 c
    pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 c
    mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 3/4 c
    ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 c
    fresh basil thinly sliced
  • 8
    corn or flour tortillas

How To Make pizza tacos

  • 1
    Place oil in a skillet. Add mushrooms, shallots, and garlic cook 2 minutes. Add the sausage breaking it up and cook until almost done. Add the pepperoni and cook until starting to crisp. Stir in the bacon. Add the pizza sauce and oregano. When warmed through remove from heat.

    Mix the mozzarella and ricotta cheese together. Stir in the basil.

    Serve the pizza mixture on a warmed tortilla topped with a dollup of the cheese mixture.
