This recipe is so tasty! My son has a friend who's Grandmother lives in Puerto Rico. He was over for dinner one night, and called it P.R. Pork.The name just stuck after that. He said this is just like his Grandmother makes! I originally got this recipe from Taste of Home years ago. I tweaked it and P.R. Pork was born. Throw it in the slow cooker and your done! Serve with rice or noodles.

Ingredients For p.r. pork slow cooker

  • FOR THE PORK
  • any type of pork that you have. i like tenderloin, but even chops will work with this.
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 2
    celery ribs, chopped
  • 1 lg
    green pepper, chopped or sliced.
  • 14 1/2 oz
    can of stewed tomatoes (or plain canned tomoates)
  • FOR THE SAUCE
  • 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp
    apple cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1
    beef boullion cube
  • ADD IN THE LAST HALF HOUR:
  • 2 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp
    water

How To Make p.r. pork slow cooker

  • 1
    Place the Pork, green peppers, tomatoes, celery,onion and tomatoes in slow cooker.

    Mix the sauce ingredients and pour over the pork and veges. Slow cook for 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 hours on low. During the last half hour or so, add the cornstarch/water to thicken sauce.
