    pork belly
  • 1 tsp
    sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    grated ginger
  • 2 Tbsp
    minced garlic
  • 1 c
    orange juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 2 c
    chicken stock
  • 2
    jalapeno peppers, seeds removed and chopped

How To Make orange, soy, and chili braised pork belly

    Preheat oven to 220 degrees. Score the fat cap of the pork belly. Add the sesame oil to an oven-safe Dutch oven. and brown the pork belly and all sides. Add the ginger and garlic and let cook for 30 seconds.

    Pour in the orange juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, chicken stock, and jalapenos. Bring to a boil. Cover and place in the oven for about 5 hours. Remove the lid and raise the heat to 425 degrees to brown the pork belly.

    Remove the pork belly. Strain the sauce and put it through a grease separator. Place in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and reduce to about 1 cup of sauce. Serve the sauce with the pork belly.
