Blue Ribbon Recipe

Your holiday meal will be a little sweeter when you serve this delicious and simple baked ham. The glaze, that's sweet, citrusy, and tangy all at once, is what makes this ham special. Poking holes allows the glaze to seep into the ham while basting. The cola and orange marmalade flavors permeate the meat. As the ham bakes, the glaze gets thick and delicious. Don't let it go to waste... after slicing the ham drizzle a little of it over the slices.

How To Make orange coca cola ham

Test Kitchen Tips
There is a lot of liquid in this baked ham. Besides using a deep pan, we recommend placing a sturdy baking sheet under the roasting pan. This will make taking it in/out of the oven to baste easier.
  • Wet ingredients whisked together in a bowl.
    1
Whisk together all ingredients except ham.
  • Poking holes in the ham with a knife.
    2
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Poke several holes in ham with a large knife. Place ham cut side down on a rack in a deep roasting pan.
  • Cola mixture poured over the ham.
    3
Pour Coca Cola mixture over ham.
  • Ham covered with aluminum foil and baking in the oven.
    4
Cover tightly with a lid or aluminum foil and roast for 20 minutes per pound of ham. Baste ham with pan sauce every 30 minutes.
  • Basting the ham.
    5
Halfway through the baking time, reduce heat to 325 and remove the cover. Continue to baste every 30 minutes until done.
  • Ham resting after coming out of the oven.
    6
Remove from oven and baste with pan sauce. LET SIT for 15-20 minutes. Slice and serve.
