This Pasta and sauce is divine but even better the next day. You can grate Parm or Romano cheese on top to serve if you wish but it doesn't need it.

Ingredients For one skillet italian sausage pasta

2 lbmild italian sausage, bulk or casings removed

12 ozfrozen onion pepper blend

15 ounce cantomato sauce or crushed tomatoes

15 ounce canspaghetti sauce

4 ounce jarmarinated artichoke hearts,undrained

3 cwater
-
2 cdried ziti pasta
-
1 citalian cheese blend , shredded
How To Make one skillet italian sausage pasta

1In a very large, lidded skillet (I used my electric skillet) or even a dutch oven, brown the Italian Sausage. Mine was frozen so I turned the heat to medium and covered it. I broke it up and stirred it every few seconds so it would not burn)

2I added the bag of frozen onions and peppers and stirred them in as soon as the meat was browned. i stirred them until thy were thawed.

3I stirred in the tomato and spaghetti sauces.

4I added the artichoke hearts and water and stirred that in. I created a "well" in the center by pushing the meat and vegetables to the sides.

5I tossed the pasta into the center well and coated it with the water and sauce.

6I sprinkled the cheese over everything.

7Cover this with the lid and cook 12-20 minutes. Make sure the pasta has plenty of water to cover it. Test the pasta for doneness by tasting a piece. (different pasta takes different times to cook.) Serve
