I love love love these ribs. Serve them with a good sauerkraut salad and some fried potatoes. You will think you are in Germany

Ingredients For octoberfest ribs

  • 2 jar
    sauerkraut undrained
  • 2 md
    onions, chopped
  • 2
    tart green apples, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar firmly packed
  • 2 to 3 lb
    pork ribs

How To Make octoberfest ribs

    In a large dutch oven or crockpot, layer all ingredients in the order listed Bring to a boil Reduce heat and simmer covered for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until the ribs are tender
  • 2
    If you choose to use a crockpot, just cook on high for 3 hours and on low for about 1 1/2 hours longer
