This recipe was my late mother's and one of my favorites growing up. I added the vension as a variety and it is really tasty. This recipe can also be rolled into balls to make meatballs with b-b-q sauce or for spagetti. Just adjust the oven tempature to 400 bake for 10-15 mintues on an ungreased cookie sheet. YUM!

Ingredients For mom's meatloaf

1 1/2 lblean ground chuck, beef or vension meat

1/4 lbground sausage

1/2 cfinely chopped onion

2eggs, slightly beatened

1/2 tspgarlic powder
-
2 tspworcestershire sauce
-
1/2 tspsalt , black pepper and chili powder

1/2chopped green pepper
-
1 1/2 cfinely crushed cracker crumbs

1/2 tspparsely flakes
How To Make mom's meatloaf

1Mix all ingreidents in a large bowl ubntil well combined.

2Place meat into a roasting pan or baking dish and shape into a loaf. Add 1/2 cup of water to bottom of the pan.

3Bake for 1 1/2 hours in a 350 oven.

4After an hour, check for dryness and add more water if needed and cook for another 1/2 hour. At this time you may if you wish add ketchup or tomato sauce on top of meatloaf, or leave plain for gravy later.
