Ingredients For mom's favorite pork roast

  • 3 to 4 lb pork roast
  • 4 packets of onion soup mix
  • 4 cups of water
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make mom's favorite pork roast

    Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix the onion soup mix and water in a small roasting pan, and place roast in pan, making sure there is enough liquid to almost cover roast
  • 2
    sprinkle with salt and pepper. cover pan tightly with foil and then place lid on top of foil. Bake for about 5 hours.

    remove roast from oven, strain the onion from the au jus. you can make gravy, or just have au jus. It will be so tender. My family can't get enough of it. It is great the next day for sandwiches
