Ingredients For mom sykes sweet and sour spare ribs

  • 3 lb
    pork spare ribs cut into serving sizes
  • 1/2 c
    soy sauce
  • 4 c
    water
  • 1 md
    onion chopped
  • 1
    green pepper, chopped
  • 2/3 c
    apple cider vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp
    flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    hot fat for browning
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • salt and pepper

How To Make mom sykes sweet and sour spare ribs

    Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper, brown in 2 tablespoons of melted Crisco. While browning, sprinkle with mixture of 4 tablespoons of flour and 3/4 cups of sugar.

    In a separate bowl combine these ingredients then pour over ribs and cover and simmer for about 1 1/2 or until tender. 1/2 cup of soy sauce 4 cups of water 1 medium onion chopped 1 green pepper chopped 2/3 cup vinegar
