When I was newly married my husband had introduced me to an amazing cook, she was from Mexico and taught me to make these. At first, I wasn't so sure about trying these, but am I glad I did and you will too. Enjoy!!

These hot dogs are simple but super tasty. I loved the cooking method. It makes the skin on the hot dog crisp. The onions, tomatoes, and cilantro add a fun Mexican flair. Delicioso!

Ingredients For mexi dogs

  • 8-10
    red casing hot dogs
  • 1 lg
    tomato, diced
  • 1/2 sm
    white onions, diced
  • 1 bunch
    cilantro, fresh
  • 1 bag
    hot dog buns
  • ketchup
  • frying oil

How To Make mexi dogs

    In a large skillet, heat oil to medium, add hot dogs and cook until dark brown almost black.

    While dogs are browning, dice onions and tomato. Wash and dry your cilantro. Set aside.

    Place the hot dog in the bun. Add ketchup first then layer tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. Enjoy!! These are my kid's favorite way to eat hot dogs :)!!
