lpc apples and onion pork chops
(3 ratings)
I kind of made this up using a couple of recipe that I mixed together. A good recipe for cooking pork chops with my Low Pressure Cooker (LPC). This was very tasty. The pork chops had lots of flavor and was very tender. You can use a crock pot or even bake in the oven if you wanted to. Helpful Hint: I keep a box of spiced apple cider mix in the pantry for use instead of apple cider/juice in some of my recipes. This is for ease of use and always having some apple juice on hand

How To Make lpc apples and onion pork chops

1In the bottom of the cooker, add a little olive oil and brown the pork chops. Salt and pepper to taste. Add the chopped onions and lightly saute. Add the Greek seasoning on top of the chops. In a mixing bowl add the water, cider mix and mustard. Mix well and pour over pork chops.

2Bring to a boil and put on lid. Adjust temperature to a low steam and cook for 1 1/2 to 2 hours depending on the thickness of the chops. About 1/2 hour before dinner add the chopped apples and a little water,if needed. I like my pork chops very tender, fall off the bone type, so that is why I cook them so long. You should have reduced the liquid by less than half. So you will have a little liquid to spoon over chops, but not enough for extra gravy.
