I have made my meatloaf the same way for over 40 years.I thought I would mix it up a little this time & we love it even better.

Ingredients For larapin' meatloaf

  • 1 lb
    deerburger or hamburger
  • 1 lb
    bulk italian sausage
  • 1/2
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2
    bellpepper, chopped
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 c
    fiber one cereal, coarsely chopped in food processor (measure before chopping)
  • 1 c
    stewed tomatoes
  • montreal steak seasoning on top
  • SAUCE:
  • 1 c
    ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp
    prepared mustard
  • 4 dash
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, packed

How To Make larapin' meatloaf

  • 1
    Mix all ingredients together in large casserole dish or loaf pan.

    Pat to form in the pan.
  • 3
    Sprinkle generously with Montreal Steak Seasoning.

    Bake, uncovered, in 400° oven for about 40 minutes or until internal temperature is around 170°
  • 5
    Mix up the sauce & pour over meatloaf evenly.
  • 6
    Return to oven & bake another 25 minutes until it thickens.

    Remove from oven & let rest for about 10 minutes to firm up.
  • 8
    Serve with any type of potatoes,& a fresh veggie
