Ingredients For jiffy yam and sausage skillet

1 pkg8 ounce brown and serve sausage links

1sm box orange gelatin
-
1/2 cwater

1 cbrown sugar

2 Tbspbutter

1 tspminced onion

juice of 1 lemon

1 tspgrated lemon zest
-
1 1/4 lbcooked yams

1 can1 lb 4 oz sliced pineapple, drained

salt and pepper to taste
How To Make jiffy yam and sausage skillet

1in large skillet prepare sausage according to directions. and remove.

2in same skillet, combine, gelatin,water, sugar, butter,onion, salt, lemon juice, and peel. bring to a boil stirring constantly.

3add yams and pineapple, reduce heat, simmer 15 minutes basting frequently

4add sausage, simmer another 5 minutes, basting frequently.
