I wasn't sure how I wanted to cook my pork chops so I came up with this idea. Very simple recipe, but very good.

Ingredients For italian lemon pork chops

  • 6
    bone in pork chops
  • 1 1/2 c
    italian bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1
    lemon, zest and juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    honey
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1
    egg
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • olive oil

How To Make italian lemon pork chops

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Salt and pepper pork chops. In a shallow dish,(I use pie plates), combine bread crumbs, zest from lemon and flour. In another dish combine milk, egg, honey, and juice from lemon. Dredge pork chop in bread crumb mixture, then in milk mixture, then back in bread crumbs. In skillet heat enough olive oil to brown pork chops on both sides. When pork chops are brown place them on a baking rack on a baking sheet( I line my baking sheet with foil so clean up is easy). Bake at 400 degrees about 20 minutes, turning once, or until done.
