2 Tbspolive oil

1 mdonion chopped

4 clovegarlic minced

2 lbpork cheeks

salt and pepper

1cinnamon stice
-
1 tspsweet smoked paprika
-
1/2 tspcumin
-
1/2 cred wine
-
2 cbeef or pork stock
How To Make instant pot braised pork cheeks

1Select saute on instant pot. Add the oil and onions and saute until onions are tender. Add the garlic and saute 30 more seconds. Season the pork with salt and pepper. Sear on all sides to get a good crust.

2Add the wine and deglaze the pot. Add the paprika, cumin, and cinnamon stick. Pour in the stock.

3Lock the lid and select pressure cook on high. Set the time for 45 minutes. Once cooked use quick release then remove the lid.

4Remove the meat to a plate and keep warm. Strain the sauce and discard any solids. Place in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Mix one tablespoon of cornstarch with 1 tbsp water and whisk into the gravy to thicken it.

5Serve with mashed potatoes.
