Ingredients For hot apple and cheese sandwiches

1medium apple or pear

4whole wheat or plain english muffins, split

2 Tbspdijon-style mustard

4 slicecanadian-style bacon

4 sliceswiss cheese

apple chunks (optional)
How To Make hot apple and cheese sandwiches

1Core apple and thinly slice crosswise to form rings. spread cut sides of English muffin halves with mustard.

2Top 4 of the muffin halves with a slice of canadian bacon, 1 or 2 apple rings, and a slice of cheese. Top with remaining muffin halves, cut sides down.

3Heat a large nonstick skillet or griddle. Place sandwiches in skillet or griddle. Cook over medium-low heat for 9-10 minutes or until sandwiches are golden brown and cheese starts to melt, turning once halfway through cooking. If desired, garnish sandwiches with apple chunks.
