Ingredients For herbed pork tenderloin with apples and wine

  • 4-5 lb
    pork roast
  • 6 md
    potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 1/2 pkg
    baby carrots
  • 5-6 md
    apples
  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped
  • 1 lg
    clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 c
    sliced mushrooms, optional
  • 1/2 c
    chicken stock or water
  • 1-2 Tbsp
    sugar, optional
  • 1 c
    apple or white wine
  • 1 tsp
    dried thyme
  • 1 tsp
    dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp
    dried sage
  • 1 tsp
    dried marjoram
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt

How To Make herbed pork tenderloin with apples and wine

    Mixing well add the stock, wine, salt/pepper and herbs into your crock pot. Along with the sugar if desired.

    Peel, core and quarter apples and place in the bottom of the pot.

    Rinse pork roast, trim excess fat, pat dry and prick the roast all over with a fork or skewer. Place on top of the apples.

    Add the potatoes, onions, mushrooms and carrots on top of the roast and sprinkle with additional herbs if desired.

    Cook on medium to low heat for 8-10 hours, depending on your crock pot.

    If you’d like a stronger flavor do step 1 and marinate the roast overnight.
