Ingredients For hearty barley bake

2 cfreshly sliced mushrooms

1 cthinly sliced carrots

1/2 cchopped onion
-
1 tspvegetable oil
-
1 clovegarlic,minced
-
12 ozbulk pork sausage
-
1 cancream style corn
-
10 ozspinach, frozen,thawed and squeezed dry
-
1-1/2 cbarley,cooked
-
3green onions,chopped
-
1 tspdried savory
-
1 tspdried marjoram
-
1 tspdried thyme
-
1/2 cshredded parmesan cheese
How To Make hearty barley bake

1In a large skillet, saute the mushrooms, carrots and onion in oil until tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Transfer to a large bowl.

2In same skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add to mushroom mixture. Stir in the barley, corn, spinach, onions, savory, thyme, marjoram.

3Transfer to a greased shallow baking dish. Cover and bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, 5 min longer or until cheese is melted
