Have some leftover Easter ham you need to use up? This recipe is PERFECT for that? Or do you just crave a creamy comforting concoction? You won't be disappointed with this casserole. It is all of the above. This makes a HUGE deep dish lasagna pan worth BUT can very easily be cut in half. Also, if you want a lighter version, use whole wheat pasta, fat free sour cream, low fat cream of mushroom soup and low fat cheese. The recipe will feed an army if you make it as is. It literally FILLS the pan to the brim. Enjoy! Recipe and photos are my own.

How To Make ham and swiss cheese spaghetti bake-annette's

  • 1
Preheat oven to 350°. Cook spaghetti to package directions to al dente.
  • 2
While spaghetti is cooking, chop up ham, onions, red bell pepper and mushrooms and put into a large bowl.
  • 3
Drain spaghetti and put into a medium sized bowl. Open cream of mushroom soup and sour cream and pour on top of spaghetti. Sprinkle the black pepper on top of the sour cream and cream of mushroom soup.
  • 4
Add ham and veggies to spaghetti mixture 1/3 at a time and mix to incorporate. Add 2 1/2 cups of the cheese into the mixture as well.
  • 5
Grease a 9x13 deep dish lasagna pan or a 4+ quart casserole dish. Pour mixture in to prepared pan, top with remaining 1 1/2 cups of cheese.

Cover with foil. Bake covered for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake 10 minutes, then turn to broil for 5 minutes to brown the cheese really well. You do not need to move the rack up to do the broiling.
  • 7
Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • 8
Serve with some nice sweet peas and a crusty bread. Enjoy!
