Ingredients For grilled pork chops with blueberry-ginger relish

  • 2 tsp
    olive oil
  • 2 tsp
    ginger,fresh, minced
  • 1 clove
    garlic
  • 1/2
    jalapenos, fresh, minced
  • 1 1/2 c
    blueberries,divided
  • 1 Tbsp
    lime juice
  • 3/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 pinch
    clove, ground
  • 1 pinch
    nutmeg
  • 4(6oz)
    pork chops, center cut, bone in
  • 1/2. tsp
    cumin, ground
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper

How To Make grilled pork chops with blueberry-ginger relish

    Preheat grill for high heat cooking
  • 2
    Heat oil in a medium nonstick skillet or saucepan over mediu high heat. Add ginger, garlic & jalapeño, cook, stirring 1-30 seconds until slightly softened but not browned. Add about half the blueberries, lime juice & 1/4 teaspoon salt, clove & nutmeg. Cook, stirring occasionally, unti the blueberries burst and thicken. 4-5 minutes Remove from heat & let stand for 5 minutes before stirring in th remaining blueberries. Set aside.

    Season the pork chops with the remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt, ground cumin & black pepper. Pace on the grill and cook until the underside is well marked and th pork readily lifts from the grill surface-about 4 minutes. Turn & cook the chop again until it readily releases from the surface bout 4 minutes longer. Until thermometer reads 145 degrees
