Ingredients For grilled cheese casserole

  • 2 c
    fully-cooked boneless ham,cut into 1/2 cubes(about 10 ounces)
  • 1 c
    dry bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter,melted
  • 3
    medium russet potatoes,peeled and 1/8-inch thick(about 1 pound)
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1 3/4 c
    grilled cheese sandwich bits (about 3 sandwiches)

    large carrot,chopped
  • 1 1/2 c
    (6 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 c
    processed cheese sauce

How To Make grilled cheese casserole

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

    In a small bowl,add bread crumbs and butter toss together until combined;set crumb mixture aside.

    Lightly coat an 8-inch square baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.In a large bowl,combine potato slices and flour,toss together until potatoes are evenly coated.

    Layer half each of potatoes,ham,grilled cheese sandwich bits,carrots and cheese.Repeat layers,ending with cheese.Drizzle with cheese sauce over the top.

    Tightly cover baking dish with foil.Bake in heated oven for 30 minutes.Uncover;sprinkle with crumb topping mixture.Continue baking,uncovered,about 25 minutes or until potatoes are tender.Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
