Greens beans and ham is a wonderful southern side dish. You guessed it, turns out they make a great sammich as well. Happy Sammie Making! sw:)

Ingredients For green beans and country ham sammich

  • 8 oz
    country ham, soaked for 30 minutes
  • 1/4 lb
    fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 4
    whole wheat refrigerated biscuits
  • 4 slice
    sugardale ready bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 c
    whipped cream cheese
  • 2-3 Tbsp
    orange fig spread
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 lg
    egg cracked
  • 1 c
    panko bread crumbs seasoned with italian seasoning, crushed red pepper and garlic powder
  • 1/2 c
    evoo
  • 1 Tbsp
    italian seasoning
  • 2 tsp
    paprika, sweet mild
  • double up on everything for 8 biscuits

How To Make green beans and country ham sammich

    gather all ingredients
  • 2
    in a small bowl, combine the last 3 ingredients. place biscuits on a cookie sheet. brush the tops of all biscuits with the mixture. preheat oven to 350 degrees. cook biscuits according to package or until golden brown

    preheat fryer to 350 degrees. fry green beans for 3 minutes or until golden brown. remove from oil and drain on a paper towel.

    in a small bowl, combine cream cheese, ornage fig spread and bacon

    in a large heated frying pan add 3/4 cup of water and ham. cook 6-8 minutes until water has evaported turning ham once

    Build it and they will come: slice biscuits. spread cream cheese mixture on both sides of the bread. add ham and green beans. enjoy!
