Ingredients For ginning guisado (pork picadillo)

2 lbground pork

1/4 csoy sauce
-
1/4 clemon juice
-
2 Tbspvegetable oil

6 clovegarlic, minced

1 mdyellow onion, chopped

2 cred or green (or a mix) bell pepper, seeded and chopped

2 lgpotatoes, peeled and cubed
-
2 lgcarrots, peeled and diced
-
1 can(8 oz) tomato sauce
-
2 cbeef broth
-
salt and pepper, to taste
How To Make ginning guisado (pork picadillo)

1Marinate the ground meat in soy sauce and lemon juice, set aside for 30 -60 minutes.

2Heat oil in large skillet and saute garlic, onion and 2/3 of the bell peppers, until onion starts to soften.

3Add the meat and cook about 6- 10 minutes. Add the potatoes and carrots, and cook for another 5 minutes.

4Mix in the tomato sauce and beef broth. Let simmer for 12 - 15 minutes. Add a cup of water if it's drying out before the potatoes and carrots are cooked.

5Mix in the remaining 1/3 bell peppers and season with salt and pepper. Heat through and serve over rice.
