I was a semi country person when I married my hubby. He was all country and so was his whole family. I had to learn fast or get teased for everything I did so goofy! I learned over the years and along with the best times spent in the kitchen on the farm. Every weekend, cousins and neighbors filled the kitchen for a home cooked meal. Mom made delisious meals, simple but plentiful.Mom didn't know how to down size the portions. Most anything she fixed was always pot clean after a meal....that is, except OATMEAL! So Mom & I came up with a dish we gave the name, "Cow Patties"

Mix all ingredients together. If oats is too course, add a wee bit of milk. Stir to mix. Add a little handful of flour. In your hand place a dab of batter mixture. Roll into a ball. Lay over into the oil, then with fork; mash out into a patty. Brown on each side till light brown. Make as many as you want. They go great with Tatter Patties, too. Kids love'm, kids of all ages~ Enjoy
