Ingredients For easy sausage and apple stuffing

  • 2 slice
    day old wheat bread, crusts removed
  • 1/4 c
    chicken broth
  • 1
    egg, lightly beaten
  • 2
    shallots, finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    sage, chopped
  • 1 lb
    bulk sausage
  • 1 lg
    granny smith apple, peeled, shredded
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • handful of fresh cranberries for garnish

How To Make easy sausage and apple stuffing

    Heat oven to 350. Cut the bread into small cubes. Place bread in a bowl. Pour broth over bread, let sit 5 mins.

    Mash bread w/ a fork, stir in egg. Stir in shallots and sage. Add sausage, ( broken up,) and apple. season w/ salt and pepper. Mix with hands until combined.

    Spoon mix into a square baking dish. Bake 30 mins. Garnish w/ a handful of cranberries.
