Ingredients For easy herb crust cassoulet

  • 16oz pkg
    smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1
    small onion, chopped
  • 2
    carrots, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced garlic
  • 2 tsp
    dried thyme
  • 1 can
    chicken broth (14.5 oz)
  • 2 can
    Northern beans
  • 1 1/4 c
    Bisquick
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 2 Tbsp
    milk
  • 1
    egg, lightly beaten

How To Make easy herb crust cassoulet

    Brown sausage in 10 inch deep skillet until browned. Remove sausage and drain on paper towels. Reserve drippings and add onion carrot and garlic to skillet and cook about 5 minutes. Stir sausage, beans and chicken broth into skillet with vegetables and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in 1 Tbsp. thyme and remove from heat. Stir together Bisquick, milk, egg and 1 Tbsp. thyme with a fork until moistened. Pour dough mixture over top of sausage mixture in skillet. Bake at 400 for 40 minutes of until golden.
