These are really really simple to make, and oh my goodness they are the most falling off the bone, tender, sweet and tangy, scrumptious ribs! Everyone just loves them and thinks I slaved all day and night to prepare them! Sometimes I will make my own homemade barbecue sauce but it does work fine with whatever brand you prefer. I use a Kansas City style sauce because I like the sweetness of it! Also you can use country or Western style ribs if you prefer.

Ingredients For easy and delicious oven-barbecued ribs

    slab of back or st. louis style spare ribs
  • 1
    bottle of fat free, or lite italian dressing
  • 1
    bottle of your preferred brand of barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, lightly packed

How To Make easy and delicious oven-barbecued ribs

    Cut Ribs into Quarters.
  • 2
    Place ribs in a zip lock back and cover with Italian dressing.
  • 3
    Refrigerate Ribs for 20 minutes or up to overnight.

    Drain and wrap ribs in aluminum foil. Bake in oven at 315 degrees for 3-4 hours or until ribs are very tender.

    Drain liquid off of ribs and unwrap. Lay them flat in foil lined pan.

    Mix barbecue sauce and brown sugar. Brush ribs on both sides with barbecue sauce. Place under broiler and broil for 5 minutes on each side, until sauce is set. This step can be done on the grill over hot coals if you prefer, and I usually do!
