Ingredients For donna's red beans n rice

1 lbred beans (or you can use kidney beans)

1 cwater

4 cwater or stock

1hambone
-
1 tspworcestershire sauce

large dash of hot sauce

2bay leaves
-
dashgarlic powder

1/2 lbcubed ham
-
1 lbsliced sausage ( i use kielbasa or andoulli)

1 clovegarlic, crushed
-
1 cchopped celery
-
1 cchopped onion
How To Make donna's red beans n rice

1Boil 1 Minute a 1 Pound Bag of Red Beans In 1 Cup Water. Let Sit, for 1 hour. pour the water off the beans and add 4 cups of water or stock.

2Add Ham Bone, 1 t Worcestershire sauce, large dash of Tabasco, dash of garlic powder, 2 bay leaves.

3Saute 1 clove garlic, 1 c chopped celery and 1 c chopped onions. Add to beans. Add pepper to taste.

4Simmer several hours.

5Saute 1/2 pound of cubed ham meat and 3/4 to 1 lb sausage, sliced (I would use a kielbasa or andoulli). Add to beans during the last hour of cooking.

6Serve over hot cooked rice. Freezes well.
