My Father is a Retired FDNY Firefighter and did a lot of the cooking at his firehouse. This is one of his dishes that is a comfort food to me. Great on a Cold Winters night.

Ingredients For dad's firehouse pork chops

  • 4-6
    bone in pork chops
  • 1 pkg
    sauerkraut
  • 2 Tbsp
    spicy brown mustard
  • pinch
    black pepper

How To Make dad's firehouse pork chops

    First place 1/2 of the Sauerkraut in the bottom of a 9 X 13 baking pan
  • 2
    Place Chops on top of Sauerkraut and brush with the Mustard, then sprinkle with Black Pepper.

    Place remaining Sauerkraut on top of chops and cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 for one hour. Uncover when there is 15 mins cook time left.

    This goes very well with Baked Potatoes and Green Beans.
