Blue Ribbon Recipe
If you want a dinner your entire family will devour, try these crunchy honey garlic pork chops. Pork chops are double-coated in egg and flour. Quickly pan-fried, the coating becomes extremely crunchy. The pork chops finish cooking in the oven while soaking in a savory, delicious, and addicting sauce. Made with butter, honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and other seasonings, the sticky sauce caramelizes and soaks into the pork chops. The final product is juicy pork chops that are slightly sweet and spicy, Any extra sauce would be delicious on chicken too.

How To Make crunchy honey garlic pork chops
-
1Whisk the eggs and 4 Tbsp water in a shallow dish.
-
2Mix the flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in another shallow dish.
-
3Dip the chops in the flour.
-
4Then over into the egg.
-
5Then back over into the flour mixture again. This is what puts the extra crispy coating on the chops.
-
6Shake them a little and be sure to get plenty of flour on this last coating.
-
7Place about 1/2 inch of oil in a deep pan. Be sure the oil is hot, but not too hot or the chops will cook too fast; around 350 degrees F. In batches, fry for about 3 minutes on each side. Try not to turn more than twice or your breading will come off.
-
8Remove from the pan to a 9x13 baking dish.
-
9For the glaze, saute minced garlic in 2 Tbsp of butter. Add the honey, soy sauce, brown sugar, cayenne, and ginger.
-
10Bring to a boil then reduce to low and simmer for about 5 minutes. Watch this carefully because it will foam and might boil over.
-
11Pour 1/2 of the glaze over the pork chops. Flip them over and pour the other 1/2 over the other side.
-
12Place uncovered in a preheated 350 oven for about 20-25 minutes.
-
13This sets the glaze and finishes them to be sure the pork chops are cooked through.
