I usually use 1/4 cup of brown sugar & a dash of cinnamon (to counter act the acid of the tomatoes)... add when adding the tomatoes.... This is so much easier to do than actually making stuffed cabbage. Hope you enjoy it...

Ingredients For crockpot stuffed cabbage casserole

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 lb
    pork sausage
  • 1
    onion ,chopped
  • 3 can
    stewed tomatoes
  • 1 can
    tomato sauce
  • 1 can
    tomato soup
  • 1/3 c
    brown sugar
  • seasoned salt, pepper, parsley flakes to taste
  • dash of worchester sauce,hot pepper flakes
  • 1
    head of cabbage sliced
  • prepared rice( i cook mine in chicken broth)

How To Make crockpot stuffed cabbage casserole

    Brown meats & 1/2 chopped onion. Drain off fat.

    Place all ingredients including meat mixture in large crockpot. Mix well.

    Cook on low 8-10 hours, stirring occasionally. Serve over prepared rice.
