Ingredients For creamy pork & apples with cornmeal biscuits

1 smonion, finely chopped

1/3 cwhipping cream
- CORNMEAL YOGURT BISCUITS

1/2 cflour

1/2 cyellow cornmeal

1 Tbspbaking powder

1 tspsugar
-
1/2 tspsalt

1/3 cbutter, cold
-
1/2 Tbspcornstarch

1/2 cdry white wine
-
3garlic cloves, minced
-
2 lgtart green apples, peeled, cored and sliced

2 tspsugar

2 tspdry sage
-
1/4 tspwhite pepper
-
1/4 tspground nutmeg
-
1/2 lbpork, boneless fresh leg, trimmed and cubed 1"

3 Tbspflour

3/4 cplain lowfat yogurt
How To Make creamy pork & apples with cornmeal biscuits

1Combine onion, garlic and apples; sprinkle with sugar, sage, white pepper and nutmeg.

2Coat pork cubes with flour, then arrange over apple mixture (in crockpot).

3Pour in wine, then cover and cook on low until pork is very tender.

4When pork is almost done, prepare cornmeal biscuits: In a large bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, baking powder, sugar and salt.

5Cut in butter.

6Add yogurt, stir just to form sticky ball.

7Gather into ball and knead slightly on floured board.

8Roll or pat out about 1/2\" thick, then using a 2 1/2\" cutter, cut 12 rounds.

9Place about 1\" apart on an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 450 until golden brown.

10While biscuits are baking, mix cornstarch and cream in a small bowl; blend into pork mixture.

11Increase cooker heat setting to high; cover and cook until sauce is hot and bubbly (10-15 minutes).

12Season to taste.

13Arrange 6 biscuits around pork mixture in cooker.

14Serve remaining biscuits hot in a basket.
