A few years ago I was visiting my cousin and she made this for breakfast along with french toast and pan cakes. I had to ask for this recipe. You will be surprized with the taste of this. Sounds like a funny combination, but believe me THIS IS GOOD!

Ingredients For cousin gail's glazed apples & sausage

  • 2 lb
    uncooked pork sausage links
  • 2 lg
    tart apples, peeled and sliced (may not desire to peel)
  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped or sliced as desired
  • 1/3 c
    water
  • 1/4 c
    packed brown sugar

How To Make cousin gail's glazed apples & sausage

    Cook the sausage acording to package directions.

    Meanwhile, in a large saucepan,combine the apples, onion, water and brown sugar.

    Cook over medium heat for 5 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Add the browned sausage, heat through.

    Serve hot with pancakes or french toast.
