Ingredients For cinnamon apple/ham and cheese sandwich

  • 1 lg
    apple, peeled and sliced
  • 3 tsp
    butter, soft
  • 1/3 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 1 Tbsp
    honey
  • 3 Tbsp
    cream cheese, softened
  • 2 Tbsp
    powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 4 slice
    raisin bread
  • 2 slice
    cheddar cheese
  • 2 slice
    ham

How To Make cinnamon apple/ham and cheese sandwich

    In a large skillet sauté apple slices and walnuts in 1 teaspoon butter and all the honey over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes or until lightly tender and lightly toasted.Remove apple slices to a small bowl and set aside.

    In a small bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar and cinnamon until smooth. Stir in walnut mixture. Spread over 2 slices of the bread; layer with cheddar cheese, apple and ham slices and remaining bread. Spread remaining butter over the outsides of each sandwich.

    In a large nonstick panini maker or skillet coated with cooking spray, toast sandwiches for 1 to 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cheese is melted. (Can make in George Formann Grill)
