This is another recipe that was given to me by my late mother-in-law. My husband would eat this every week if I would allow it.

Ingredients For chop suey

  • 1 lb
    lean pork chops
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/2 c
    chopped celery
  • 1 sm
    can chopped suey vegetables
  • 1/4 can
    water
  • 4 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp
    flour

How To Make chop suey

  • 1
    Cut pork into cubes and fry to brown. In same pan as the pork was fried in, fry onion and celery to transparent. Add chop suey vegetables, rinse out can and add 1/4 can water to vegetables and meat. Simmer 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. Mix soy sauce, sugar and flour to meat and vegetable mixture to thicken. Serve over cooked rice.
