chicken parmesan fake out sandwich

This is really a quick and easy dish to prepare. You can do the patties and sauce ahead of time if you wish, and then assemble when you are ready to cook them. I would not do the garlic bread ahead of time.

1Take the marinara sauce and put it in a pot to cook on a low flame. Put more in the pot than you’ll need so it can cook down. You’ll want the sauce to become very thick. When it is all thick, turn off the heat and let cool.

2Grate the cheese and set aside.
-
3Cut the rolls of sausage open and form into 6 equal patties. Try and keep the patties the same size as the garlic bread.
-
4Beat the eggs with the salt and pepper and coat the patties. Then dredge in bread crumbs.
-
5Fry the patties until they are fully cooked and somewhat browned.
-
6Drain on paper towels.
-
7Place the garlic bread in a 250 ~ 300 degrees oven to start to toast. Once they have browned on one side, turn them over and keep them on the same pan.
-
8Top with a sausage patty.
-
9Add the sauce.
-
10And then top with the cheese.
-
11Put them back into the oven till the sauce is hot and the cheese has melted.
