1 cstrong black coffee

1/3 craisins

1/4 cflour

1/3 cchili powder

1 tspmexican oregano

1 tspsalt

2 Tbspolive oil

1 lgonion chopped

8 clovegarlic minced

2chipotle chili in adobo sauce minced

4 cchicken broth

5 lbboneless pork shoulder

How To Make carne adovada

1Preheat oven 325 degrees. Add raisins to the hot cup of coffee and set aside. In a small bowl mix the flour, chili powder, and oregano together. Set aside

2Cut pork into chunks about 1 inch size. Season with salt and pepper. Heat a large dutch oven on stove and add the oil. Brown the pork pieces in batches until browned well on all sides. Remove the pork to a plate and set aside.

3Add onions to the pan and cook until soft. Add the garlic and cook 1 minute. Add the chipotle and stir for 2 minutes. Add the chili powder mixture. Add the broth and coffee/raisin mixture. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and simmer 5 minutes. With an immersion blender or food processor puree until smooth Return the pork to the pan

4Place in oven bake for 2 hours. Serve over rice topped with pico de gallo and sour cream
