Ingredients For caramel-apple pork chops

4pork chops, 3/4"-thick

1 tspvegetable or canola oil

2 Tbsplight brown sugar

salt and pepper to taste

1/8 tspcinnamon

1/8 tspnutmeg
-
2 Tbspunsalted butter

2 lggrannysmith apples, peeled, cored and sliced

3 Tbspchopped pecans
How To Make caramel-apple pork chops

1Heat oven to 175 to keep pork chops war while making sauce. Place a baking dish in oven to warm. Heat oil in lg skillet over med-high heat.

2Brown chops on both sides. Transfer chops to warm baking dish. Keep in oven to keep warm. In bowl, combine brown sugar, salt, pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add butter to skillet over medium heat.

3Stir in brown sugar mix. Add apples. Cover, cook until apples are tender. Remove apples and place them on top of pork chops. Cook sauce in skillet until thickened. Spoon sauce over chops and apples. Sprinkle w/ pecans.
