Ingredients For black bean pork

  • PORK
  • 1/2 lb
    ground pork
  • 2
    green onions finely diced
  • 3 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 Tbsp
    ginger grated
  • 1 tsp
    toasted sesame oil
  • SAUCE
  • 1/3 c
    black bean paste
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    chili oil
  • 4 Tbsp
    water
  • 1/2 tsp
    cornstarch
  • QUICK PICKLED CUCUMBER
  • 1 lg
    cucumber peeled and cubed
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 c
    rice vinegar
  • GARNISH
  • 2
    green onions finely chopped
  • FOR SERVING
  • 2 c
    cooked rice

How To Make black bean pork

  • 1
    Mix the chopped cucumber with the salt and rice vinegar and set aside. Mix the cornstarch and water together and set aside.

    Mix the black bean paste, soy sauce, brown sugar and chili oil together and set aside.

    Place the ground pork, green onions, garlic and ginger together in a large skillet. Cook stirring until the pork is no longer pink. Add in the black bean paste mixture. Cook 1 minute. Add the cornstarch and water mixture. Cook until thickened a bit.

    Serve over cooked rice with a side of the cucumbers and garnished with green onions
