My cousin and I were going to make homemade dog food for our dogs [they never even got to taste it]. Take your time with this because the longer it cooks the better the flavors. We were staying at a beach cottage in July during a cold spell and this came in very handy for a cold days meal. GREAT AT TAIL-GATE PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ingredients For beach bum stew

  • 2-3 lb
    cut ends of beef from butcher shop, cubed what ever he has left over
  • 2 each
    red onions and green peppers, chopped
  • 4 shots oz
    rum or brandy
  • 1 each Tbsp
    steak sauce & bbq sauce
  • 1 half tsp
    salt and pepper
  • 2 clove
    garlic minced
  • 6 slice
    american cheese
  • 1
    bay leaves
  • 1 lb
    hot italian pork sausage , cooked and chopped
  • 3 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    vegetable oil , for cooking sausage
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • half lb
    mushrooms, canned or fresh
  • 2 qt
    beef broth

How To Make beach bum stew

  • 1
    start by cooking and draining sausage. simmer onions ,peppers and mushrooms along with beef in 4 or 5 quart pan or crock pot till veggies become soft.

    then just add everything else and let it simmer for 3 to 4 hours. enjoy
