If you marinate while you are at work (I come home at lunch to turn the ham), you can have a great grilled meal in minutes on a weeknight. Kids like this too, making it a plus!

Ingredients For barbecued gingered ham slice

2 3/4 lbslice fully cooked ham (about 1 inch thick)

1/2 cginger ale

1/2 corange juice

1/4 cfirmly packed brown sugar

3 Tbspwhite wine vinegar

1 tspdry mustard
-
1 tspvegetable oil

1/4 tspground ginger
-
1/8 tspground cloves
How To Make barbecued gingered ham slice

1Score the fat on the ham slice. Place the ham slice in a large shallow dish.

2Combine the ginger ale and remaining ingredients; stir well. Pour the marinade mixture over the ham slice. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 8 hours, turning once.

3Remove the ham slice from the marinade, reserving the marinade.

4Grill, covered, over medium coals for 8 to 10 minutes on each side. Make sure your coals are not too hot!. Baste the ham slice frequently with the reserved marinade.
